ALBUM<\/span> NOTES<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

                     It\u2019s like lis\u00adtening to AWAKENING<\/span> and thin\u00adking that some\u00adthing will hap\u00adpen, and it does, but not like you thought it will. That is ano\u00adther won\u00adderful thing about the impro\u00advi\u00adsed and spon\u00adta\u00adneous music that Jazz is, not only its deep Afri\u00adcan roots, which this per\u00adfor\u00admance reflects and builds upon, but an ease to make it hap\u00adpen. Gross\u00admann plays for the band, that is clear from the note one, not only in this com\u00adpo\u00adsi\u00adti\u00adon but the enti\u00adre record; a natu\u00adral order of melo\u00addies that you can hum, no pat\u00adterns, just music, inde\u00adpen\u00addent of style, mind hang-ups and must do\u2019s. WIEN<\/span> is like brin\u00adging you back to some\u00adthing, like the place you are from, it marks you, same as the music or the artists that you always lis\u00adten\u00aded and loved. TRUST<\/span> has ano\u00adther exci\u00adting solo on the gui\u00adtar, cle\u00adar\u00adly inspi\u00adred by its sur\u00adroun\u00addings. Rado\u00admir Milo\u00adj\u00adko\u00advic is run\u00adning some style that is dif\u00adfi\u00adcult to catch upon, some\u00adti\u00admes reminds one of pia\u00adno, trumpet and some\u00adti\u00admes of saxo\u00adpho\u00adne; some\u00adthing that we are not expec\u00adting to hear on the gui\u00adtar. We all I guess can rea\u00adli\u00adze up until now that the gui\u00adtar is still the bea\u00adrer of chan\u00adge, some\u00adthing new still can be added. Milojkovic\u2019s play\u00ading is deep\u00adly roo\u00adted in tra\u00addi\u00adti\u00adon, not only Jazz but also Blues and so-cal\u00adled World Music. Fur\u00adther on in this par\u00adti\u00adcu\u00adlar tune Gross\u00admann con\u00ads\u00adtructs a solo that ran\u00adges from sounds and tex\u00adtures to a more rhythm-ori\u00aden\u00adta\u00adted mood as the final ensem\u00adble shows. The\u00adre is a trust bet\u00adween the\u00adse peo\u00adp\u00adle: to deli\u00adver, wha\u00adte\u00adver it takes. After all this ener\u00adge\u00adtic dri\u00adve we are brought to the sta\u00adte of calm\u00adness. PEACEFUL<\/span> RIVER<\/span> is like \u201cclear water cas\u00adca\u00adding from some water\u00adfall\u201d. ORNETTE<\/span> is this thing that hap\u00adpens by its\u00adelf, just inven\u00adti\u00adve\u00adness to make it hap\u00adpen. Here we have Chris\u00adti\u00adan Lil\u00adlin\u00adger, one of the most adven\u00adtur\u00adous and exci\u00adting drum\u00admers of his gene\u00adra\u00adti\u00adon, a musician\u2019s musi\u00adci\u00adan, pro\u00advi\u00adding a wide ran\u00adge of con\u00adcepts, ide\u00adas and moods that ulti\u00adm\u00adate\u00adly is giving a new voice for the drums. Robert Land\u00adfer\u00admann is a supre\u00adme\u00adly gifted per\u00adfor\u00admer with pris\u00adti\u00adne tech\u00adni\u00adque and far rea\u00adching ima\u00adgi\u00adna\u00adti\u00adon, both as accom\u00adpa\u00adnist and as soloist.<\/span><\/p>\n

                    This album is ano\u00adther won\u00adderful effort by Gross\u00admann, worth repea\u00adted lis\u00adtening, whe\u00adre the lis\u00adte\u00adner can dis\u00adco\u00adver many gre\u00adat things, a pas\u00adsio\u00adna\u00adte per\u00adfor\u00admance, full of sur\u00adpri\u00adses and fine moments.                   Saxo\u00adpho\u00adnist and com\u00adpo\u00adser, Muri\u00adel Gross\u00admann, born in Paris, of Aus\u00adtri\u00adan ori\u00adgin and resi\u00addent on the island, clo\u00adsed the second evening of the fes\u00adti\u00adval orga\u00adni\u00adzed by the city coun\u00adcil of Ibi\u00adza with a reci\u00adtal which, by its sheer qua\u00adli\u00adty will always be remem\u00adbe\u00adred by the many fans who gathe\u00adred in the heart of the city, the lovers of this music cal\u00adled Jazz.<\/span><\/p>\n

                   Muri\u00adel Gross\u00admann, who recei\u00adved the prai\u00adse of Jose Miguel Lopez, host of the event, offe\u00adred five com\u00adpo\u00adsi\u00adti\u00adons \u2014 long, rich in nuan\u00adces, ran\u00adging from the rela\u00adxing to authen\u00adtic explo\u00adsi\u00adon of vita\u00adli\u00adty, ten\u00adsing the mus\u00adcles to the maxi\u00admum. This woman \u2014 fra\u00adgi\u00adle in phy\u00adsi\u00adque \u2014 has an over\u00adwhel\u00adming force. She must take a lot \u201cZumo\u00adsol\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

                     Muri\u00adel avo\u00adids pige\u00adon\u00adho\u00adling. She\u2019s no fri\u00adend of cate\u00adgo\u00adriza\u00adti\u00adons. Let us use the term free to defi\u00adne their Wednesday\u2019s offe\u00adring, at least a good part of it. Her per\u00adfor\u00admance was extra\u00ador\u00addi\u00adna\u00adry, some\u00adti\u00admes soft, almost spi\u00adri\u00adtu\u00adal, and some\u00adti\u00admes unbrid\u00adled, forceful. Her gift was AWAKENING<\/span> (inspi\u00adred by John Col\u00adtra\u00adne), WIEN<\/span>, TRUST<\/span> (included on the \u201cBirth of the mys\u00adtery\u201d album), PEACEFUL<\/span> RIVER<\/span> and final\u00adly ORNETTE<\/span>, hono\u00adring Ornet\u00adte Coleman.<\/span><\/p>\n

                     In addi\u00adti\u00adon to her usu\u00adal gui\u00adta\u00adrist Rado\u00admir Milo\u00adj\u00adko\u00advic, the artist resor\u00adted to two pres\u00adti\u00adgious musi\u00adci\u00adans. The magni\u00adfi\u00adcent bas\u00adsist Robert Land\u00adfer\u00admann and the colos\u00adsal drum\u00admer Chris\u00adti\u00adan Lil\u00adlin\u00adger offe\u00adred a bril\u00adli\u00adant per\u00adfor\u00admance ext\u00adol\u00adling the lan\u00adguage of Muri\u00adel Gross\u00admann that alre\u00ada\u00addy is in a sta\u00adte of grace. The Ibi\u00adza public has the pri\u00advi\u00adle\u00adge of hea\u00adring this sur\u00adpri\u00adsing per\u00adfor\u00admer not only on festivals.

\nAwa\u00adke\u00adning<\/strong> \u2026 kee\u00adping awa\u00adke is assu\u00adred with the buli\u00admic sur\u00adging play in the title track, which \u2014 led by a tre\u00adpi\u00adtant rhyth\u00admic osti\u00adna\u00adto \u2014 takes place at high speed. After this depar\u00adtu\u00adre on ten\u00adter\u00adhooks, \u201cWien\u201d chan\u00adges the cour\u00adse by instal\u00adling a com\u00adple\u00adte\u00adly mes\u00adme\u00adri\u00adzing slow groo\u00adve that takes us clo\u00adse to the esthe\u00adtic Ogun of small for\u00adma\u00adti\u00adons of Elton Dean and Tre\u00advor Watts. Superb. More shag\u00adgy, \u201cTrust\u201d revi\u00adves with a rather fero\u00adcious free jazz: with Lil\u00adlin\u00adger, it is full, pul\u00adsa\u00adtes and fric\u00adtions, while the saxo\u00adpho\u00adne gets hoar\u00adse! The high\u00adly Col\u00adtra\u00adne \u201cPeaceful River\u201d announ\u00adces wit\u00adhout war\u00adning the next install\u00adment; its ser\u00ade\u00adne beau\u00adty seems to direct\u00adly respond to the J.C. \u2018s \u201cWel\u00adco\u00adme\u201d. Last pie\u00adce: \u201cOrnet\u00adte\u201d: the refe\u00adrence is assu\u00admed for good, clear, but well pla\u00adced at the end of the disc, sounds like an end to the peri\u00adod of liber\u00adta\u00adri\u00adan Muri\u00adel Grossmann\u2019s last respects. For now, the saxo\u00adpho\u00adnist aes\u00adthe\u00adtics go wit\u00adhout detour slides towards that of a cer\u00adtain J.C.
