The drum\u00admer Uros Sta\u00admen\u00adko\u00advic was born in Bel\u00adgra\u00adde, Ser\u00adbia and began play\u00ading drums as a teen\u00adager. At 17 he alre\u00ada\u00addy play\u00aded in pres\u00adti\u00adgious venues and fes\u00adti\u00advals of his home\u00adtown and in his country.<\/span><\/p>\n

His edu\u00adca\u00adti\u00adon was foun\u00added by local icons such as Luka Bos\u00adko\u00advic\u2019 and Miro\u00adlav Kar\u00adlo\u00advic\u2019, which also led to his depar\u00adtu\u00adre to Bar\u00adce\u00adlo\u00adna, Spain, with a full scho\u00adlar\u00adship at the L\u2019Au\u00adla de Musi\u00adca Moder\u00adna I Jazz (Con\u00adser\u00adva\u00adto\u00adri Supe\u00adri\u00ador de M\u00fasi\u00adca del Liceu), foun\u00adder and mem\u00adber of the Ber\u00adklee Inter\u00adna\u00adtio\u00adnal net\u00adwork to stu\u00addy. Under the ins\u00adtruc\u00adtions of Pro\u00adfes\u00adsor Quim Sole and guest musi\u00adci\u00adans, such as the legen\u00adda\u00adry Ed Soph, Uros gra\u00addua\u00adted with a Mas\u00adter of Con\u00adtem\u00adpo\u00adra\u00adry Music and Jazz.<\/span><\/p>\n

After his gra\u00addua\u00adti\u00adon in 2006, Uros had the oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adty to tra\u00advel through Euro\u00adpe and he explo\u00adred both Eas\u00adtern and Wes\u00adtern Euro\u00adpean music. His focus, howe\u00adver, always remain\u00aded on jazz and blues.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2008 he moved to Toron\u00adto, Cana\u00adda, whe\u00adre he expan\u00added his know\u00adledge regar\u00adding the histo\u00adry and foun\u00adda\u00adti\u00adon of the drum set. 2013 he moved back to Ser\u00adbia and work\u00aded regu\u00adlar\u00adly with his own jazz trio. From 2014 onwards Muri\u00adel Gross\u00admann invi\u00adted him to play con\u00adcerts for recor\u00addings as a mem\u00adber of the Muri\u00adel Gross\u00adman Quartet.<\/span><\/p>\n
