Alt\u00adhough she is not a new\u00adco\u00admer to the Euro\u00adpean jazz sce\u00adne, saxo\u00adpho\u00adnist Muri\u00adel Gross\u00admann is still rare in Rivie\u00adra halls. The arri\u00adval of her new quar\u00adtet in Can\u00adnes as part of Thurs\u00addays Jazz is a gre\u00adat oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adty to dis\u00adco\u00adver her music live!  A Cata\u00adlan orga\u00adnist Abel Boquera, a drum\u00admer Uros Sta\u00admen\u00adko\u00advic and a gui\u00adta\u00adrist Rado\u00admir Milo\u00adj\u00adko\u00advic both of Yugo\u00adsla\u00advi\u00adan ori\u00adg\u00adins, she hers\u00adelf is Vien\u00adnese but lives in Ibi\u00adza.  The\u00adre is no need for a bass play\u00ader, Abel takes care of it on the Ham\u00admond pedal board, dis\u00adcreet bass lines that will sup\u00adport the group throug\u00adhout the set.  The saxo\u00adpho\u00adnist beg\u00adins the con\u00adcert with her sopra\u00adno, she will alter\u00adna\u00adte regu\u00adlar\u00adly with a tenor and more rare\u00adly with her alto.  The very Col\u00adtra\u00adni\u00adan phra\u00adsing at the begin\u00adning will beco\u00adme eit\u00adher roug\u00adher or more cuddly later. <\/span><\/strong><\/span>From time to time, during the gui\u00adtar or organ solos, she aban\u00addons her saxo\u00adpho\u00adnes for a few chais of bells or so many other types of per\u00adcus\u00adsions that she hand\u00adles with passion.<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n

Muri\u00adel Gross\u00admann signs all the com\u00adpo\u00adsi\u00adti\u00adons, a reper\u00adtoire taken from the group\u2019s last two albums (Uni\u00adon and Uni\u00adver\u00adsal Code).  The gui\u00adtar knows how to make a swing in the cho\u00adrus, the orga\u00adnist offers us some beau\u00adtiful flights, always cle\u00adver\u00adly punc\u00adtua\u00adted by a drum\u00admer who\u00adse strike, howe\u00adver ener\u00adge\u00adtic, never inva\u00addes the sound space of the quar\u00adtet.  A very nice discovery.
